Hello. My friend and I were booked to fly to Havana, Cuba today from London Heathrow with Iberia Airlines. The problem is, the airline refused my friend to fly because he didn't have a visa. He is Vietnamese, and it has always been the case that Vietnamese don't need a visa for Cuba. However, he went to the Cuban Embassy in London with me about 2 weeks ago, and they actually confirmed this to him, without any prompting from us.

Firstly, am I correct in saying that either the airline or the embassy are at fault here? How would we go about getting compensation for this?
